Smart Styles CS4 v6.0.1 released
We have just released Smart Styles CS4 v6.0.1.

The following issues are fixed in this version:
- 256 : Smart Styles does not recognize a sequence for cell/row/column strokes
- 253 : When applying a style with two tables: the order of the applied styles can be reversed
- 248 : Support sorting and formulas in story/galley view of InCopy CS4

I am very sorry for forgetting to provide you the download location of version 6.0.1. I added this location to my original post now.
You are right that the current location of the download is not the most elegant way to provide updates for existing users. We are going to investigate for a better way to provide new versions in the future.
We were not able to reproduce your problem of overwriting v6.0.0 with v6.0.1. Could you please send your system and problem details to our support team (http://www.woodwing.com/en/form) so that we can further investigate this?

Have a look at http://www.barebones.com. The path (from Home page) > Products > Download is not perfect because it does not say that Demo = Update. The path (from Home page) > Support > BBEdit > BBEdit Updates, with direct link to update is much better. BBEdit also offers updates from within the app., which may not be feasible for your plugins.
Renaming 'Try our software' on http://www.woodwing.com/en/Support to 'Download demos and upgrades' would help, though I'm sure marketing will object. (Also on that page, 'Manual Downloads' is ambiguous. Better to write 'Download Manuals' and 'Download Brochures'; this language is both clearer and more active.)
I was able to install 6.0.1 by removing 6.0.0 from the ID's Plug-ins folder but shall file a report.

A link to the page where 6.0.1 can be downloaded would be useful. I found the file but it's confusing that upgrades are placed on the webpage for demo. versions and annoying to be asked to fill out my name and email address as if I were a new customer. Also, the download page says: 'Before downloading Smart Styles CS4 v5.0.1 Macintosh …'.
a bit later …
And, the installer for 6.0.1 will not overwrite 6.0.0 already installed.
